Drive A Victims Of Strange Bus Break-In While In Chicago On Rock Allegiance Tour with Papa Roach and P.O.D.

Our sources have informed us that Los Angeles’ Drive A were the victims of a bizarre bus break-in earlier this week in downtown Chicago, while on a break from their run on the Rock Allegiance Tour with Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Puddle of Mud, P.O.D., Red and Crossfade.

This past Tuesday night, as band members and crew slept on their bus while parked in an underground garage located in an area frequented by transients, an unidentified person entered the vehicle and made off with money, food, booze, clothing and an iPod, while leaving their gear untouched.

The band is taking it in stride, as front Bruno Mascolo explains, “I guess to make it in music these days you have to fully commit yourself, even if it means your home away from home being raided by homeless people on occasion. That being said, the next homeless person that asks us for change, we will be checking his pocket for our ipod. I’m just glad everyone is okay.”

The Edge says that “U2 are not tax evaders”

U2 guitarist The Edge has dismissed current accusations that U2 has evaded paying taxes by moving part of their business to Holland. The Edge or David Evans decided to speak out after a U.S. Federal Worker Simon Moroney stated that US senator Benjamin Cardin supports Bono’s anti-poverty ONE campaign which Moroney said was a “lobbying group with no mandate or accountability.” Moroney goes on even further to say that Bono exemplified “the worst characteristics of Wall Street, both for excess and tax evasion,” and that U2 abused the tax exemption scheme for artists in Ireland to amass hundreds of millions in tax free money.

So in response…

The Edge had this to say, “For the record, U2 and the individual band members have a totally clean record with every jurisdiction to which they are required to pay tax and have never been and will never be involved in tax evasion.”

He continued, “U2 and its members have paid many, many millions of dollars in taxes to the United States Internal Revenue Service over the years. Contrary to what Mr Moroney writes, Ireland is, thankfully, not bankrupt.”

All this comes off the heels after protesters violently voiced their opinion at Glastonbury Festival last month over U2’s tax dealings. Riot police had to be called in to deal with the protesters who were part of the group Art Uncut.
