Exile is an underground hip hop DJ. This guy is straight nasty as a matter of fact. He brings the 1996-1999 sound of hip hop to a lot of his beats. His new mixtape just dropped and it’s a must listen. Exile‘s new album “4TRK Mind” is set to release on October 4th. If his album sounds anything like his mixtape, it’s gonna be worth picking up!

‘Like Moths To Flames’ Forced to Drop Off This Fall’s IGNITOUR, And Also Releases a Full-Length Album on Rise Records Set For Nov 8th

Like Moths To Flames – Real Talk via RISE RECORDS

Native Columbus, OH band Like Moths To Flames (Rise Records) have regrettably been forced to bow out of their run on this fall’s IGNITOUR which they were to begin on September 2nd. The band has released the following statement:

“Due to the departure of our bass player, Aaron Douglas, combined with a delay in the studio completion due to Hurricane Irene, we regret to inform everyone that we will have to drop off the upcoming INGNITOUR with Ice Nine Kills and An Early Ending.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but without a solid lineup, we don’t want to disservice our fans in any capacity.  We are going to finish up at the studio, head home and prepare for our two upcoming fall tours: Close Your Eyes/The Color Morale tour and then Thrash and Burn.  We’re super stoked on how our record is turning out and can’t wait for you guys to hear it.  We’re working on a plan to release a few tracks prior to our November 8th release date”

Like Moths To Flames has also announced a change to the lineup in the wake of Douglas’ departure. Eli Ford (ex-My Ticket Home) has joined the band and will take on guitar duties while Aaron Evans will move from guitar to bass.

Migrate Music Exclusive: Young Statues

In the winter of 2010, a spontaneous trip to Athens, GA became the birth of New Jersey/Philadelphia indie-rock outfit Young Statues. The record first began to take shape at Chase Park Transduction Studios, where a series of songs were recorded between friends, songs that were initially never intended to be released. Intrigued by the results of these sessions, songwriter and vocalist Carmen Cirignano decided to continue working on them with longtime producer and engineer Steve Poponi at the Gradwell House in Haddon Heights, NJ.  It was here, with the help of bassist Tom Ryan and drummer Daniel Bogan, that these songs were transformed into the impressive debut record for a band comprised of longtime friends in the Philadelphia area music scene. Full of swelling guitars, intricate vocal melodies and introspective lyrics, “Young Statues” is evidence of a group of musicians who have honed their skills and made a record to be revered for its beauty, tact, and honesty.

The Young Statues have completed their Self Titled debut L.P. and will be set to release it on Nov. 8th via. Run For Cover Records.

Below is their tracklist for their debut album:

01. Spacism
02. Athens
03. Half Light
04. Bumble Bee
05. Losing A Friend
06. Young Statues
07. We Trusted Everything Enough
08. Keep It Dark
09. Pretty Girls Make Raves
10. Your Seasons Stay The Same
11. Meet Me At The Hudson

Listen: DJ Shadow – Warning Call Ft. Tom Vek

DJ Shadow – Warning Call Ft. Tom Vek

DJ Shadow has unveiled a new song today titled Warning Call. The new song is off of DJ Shadow‘s upcoming album The Less You Know, The Better.  The song features the vocals of British rocker Tom Vek. The song is great in my opinion and is a bit different than DJ Shadow‘s music from the past.

DJ Shadow‘s new album will drop on September 27th.
