Hell yeah! Some professional footage was done at the Converge show last night at the NYC House of Vans. And to top it off, Converge was joined on stage by Touche Amore‘s Jeremy Bolm. Can it get any better? You can watch the footage below with Bolm joining Converge during the song Last Light around 10 minutes into the video.
This is so sick…you can never go wrong with Converge!
So, I’ve been talking about the band Failures a lot in my recent posts, and I figured that if you haven’t really heard of them then it didn’t really make much sense to keep comparing bands to them. So, here is some live footage of them at the 2010 installment of dudefest:
I had the chance to see KMFDM last night, Sunday August 21, 2011, at Radiodown in Covington, Kentucky. For those of you who are unaware, KMFDM is an industrial rock band that formed in Paris, France in 1984. The show was absolutely amazing. You can definitely tell that the group has been around the block a few times and they definitely know what they are doing. They played for an hour and a half and there was not one dull moment the entire time. They feature a line-up of two guitar players, two synth players and a drummer. With only two shows left in the US on this tour (August 24 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the complex; August 25 in Boise Idaho at the Knitting Factory) I’m glad I was able to catch the spectacle before they headed back to Europe. If you’ve never heard them before, check out the music video below:
On August 19, 2011 the legendary Pageninetynine will be playing a reunion show in Richmond, Virginia as part of the lineup for Best Friends Day 10 (http://www.bestfriendsdayrva.com/), an event annually held in Richmond for the past 10 years meant to bring together friends from all over the country. This will be their first show since their break up in May of 2003. The band is known for the intense shows and ever-changing line-ups. The band has announced that they will be playing with the line-up responsible for the Document #8 album, and will perform said album from start to finish. Members of the band went on to perform in such acts as Enemy Soil, City of Caterpillar and Pygmy Lush. If you’re interested in attending Best Friends Day 10 it spans from August 18-21, and you can click on the link above for more information. Some other notable bands that will be performing this year include: Converge, Corrosion of Conformity, 7 Seconds, Magrudergrind, Iron Lung, Jesuit, Strike Anywhere, Against me!, and Cincinnati’s own Dopamines.
