Our favorite Belgian band THOT has just released a music video today! We love this band, and everything they put out. We have featured them before on our site here and we even featured their song The Shy Summer on our Migrate Music Mixtape Vol. II – Alignment Of Sound this month. (Its free to download)
From THOT,
“This video was shot in an undergroud house in Belgium and features Claudia, the guest vocal on The Shy Summer (she’s also singing on Spellbound Fields).
We are actually working on setting up an European tour for February 2012, that will go through Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary and maybe more. Some gigs have been already confirmed and we just CAN’T WAIT! By the way, if you are interested to invite us in your town or to play acoustic gig in your room, feel free to get in touch with us at booking@thotweb.net
About acoustic shows. Silent. 2 are confirmed. First (a private one) will takes place in Paris on 17th September (Some of you will maybe receive invitations) and the other one will take place in Prague around 10 october. More details are coming soon.”
So you can watch the video below, AND you can download the original version of The Shy Summer HERE.
Our sources have informed us that Los Angeles’ Drive A were the victims of a bizarre bus break-in earlier this week in downtown Chicago, while on a break from their run on the Rock Allegiance Tour with Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Puddle of Mud, P.O.D., Red and Crossfade.
This past Tuesday night, as band members and crew slept on their bus while parked in an underground garage located in an area frequented by transients, an unidentified person entered the vehicle and made off with money, food, booze, clothing and an iPod, while leaving their gear untouched.
The band is taking it in stride, as front Bruno Mascolo explains, “I guess to make it in music these days you have to fully commit yourself, even if it means your home away from home being raided by homeless people on occasion. That being said, the next homeless person that asks us for change, we will be checking his pocket for our ipod. I’m just glad everyone is okay.”

LONG ISLAND, NY – Long Island’s veteran hardcore metal group, This Is Hell, has announced that its fourth studio album, Black Mass, will see an October 11th release on Rise Records, confirming the identity of the mysterious website, AllRiseForTheBlackMass.com. The teaser site has seen a complete update, including a YouTube stream of the brand new track, “Black Mass.”
“The new album takes the crossover and metal influences from last album to much greater extremes and the end product was Black Mass, by far the heaviest and thrashiest songs we’ve written and recorded,” said guitarist, Rick Jimenez.
“Lyrically this album touches on issues we haven’t dove into before. Social injustice as a whole is a recurring theme. Persistence and empowerment are familiar themes with us that I’ve revisited, but with an even more aggressive outlook than before.”
Black Mass, the follow-up to the 2010 release, Weight of the World, was recorded earlier this summer at Killingsworth Studio in Valley Village, CA with producer, Tomas Costanza.
“The artwork was done by Will Blood, an amazing English illustrator/artist that we’ve worked with on shirts and designs before,” added Jimenez. “The concept came from some lyrics and underlying themes from the album and Will really took the ball and ran with it. Whether someone takes the art at sheer superficial face value, or really absorbs the details and subtleties of it, it’s an extremely powerful piece of artwork. I feel the same way about the music and especially the lyrics on this new record.”
This Is Hell will hit the road next month for a North American tour with Underoath, Comeback Kid and The Chariot.
“We’re very excited for our upcoming tour with Underoath, Comeback Kid, and The Chariot,” said vocalist, Travis Reilly. “We’ve toured many times with Comeback Kid and we look forward to spending more time with them and meeting the other guys. It’s going to be great to play some new songs for a bunch of new faces.”
Stay tuned for more information on This Is Hell and Black Mass.

Native Columbus, OH bandLike Moths To Flames (Rise Records) have regrettably been forced to bow out of their run on this fall’s IGNITOUR which they were to begin on September 2nd. The band has released the following statement:
“Due to the departure of our bass player, Aaron Douglas, combined with a delay in the studio completion due to Hurricane Irene, we regret to inform everyone that we will have to drop off the upcoming INGNITOUR with Ice Nine Kills and An Early Ending. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but without a solid lineup, we don’t want to disservice our fans in any capacity. We are going to finish up at the studio, head home and prepare for our two upcoming fall tours: Close Your Eyes/The Color Morale tour and then Thrash and Burn. We’re super stoked on how our record is turning out and can’t wait for you guys to hear it. We’re working on a plan to release a few tracks prior to our November 8th release date”
Like Moths To Flames has also announced a change to the lineup in the wake of Douglas’ departure. Eli Ford (ex-My Ticket Home) has joined the band and will take on guitar duties while Aaron Evans will move from guitar to bass.

Native Ohio band Legacy has begun streaming their latest single Barriers. The new song is off of their upcoming demo. So what do you think of Legacy now with all their new members?
M. Shawn Crahan, A.K.A. Clown, has announced on Slipknot’s facebook page that they will be touring the U.S. come next year. Quote, “I also wanted to tell everyone straight from my mouth because you may have heard it already anyway, but Slipknot will be touring by next June in America only, but that does not mean things will not change and as they do I will along with others tell you our family first.
No album yet because it is to soon and there are no songs yet because the band needs to come together to write this next one. I can not wait to feel the ideas like choking on color. Everything happens for a reason, so be ready.”
One of my all time favorite rappers is Lupe Fiasco. The man puts on such an amazing performance at his shows that you will never forget Lupe Fiasco! He already did a quick tour this summer, but he’s hitting the road once again. Hopefully you didn’t miss him the first time. But if ya did, Lupe is giving you a second chance!
